My prefered vendor in all things HVAC

Patriot Air has got me out of some tricky situations when comes to my Boilers. My site had been understaffed for months and although I know quite a bit about boilers, I didn't have time to work on them for hours on end. Jim (HVac Tech) has helped me out most of the time. For example, after one of my techs left, I found that three of thier boilers had major issues all on the same day. One needed an new ignition control module. Another needed a new high limit, aquastat, and rewiring. And the last one needed a new high limit. Jim came in and fixed all of it the same day I found it. I can always trust that Patriot Air will leave my mechrooms better than what they were when they got there.

I completed an HVAC repair for a system that wasn’t cooling effectively. Upon inspection, I found a refrigerant leak and a malfunctioning capacitor. I repaired the leak, recharged the system with R-32 refrigerant, and replaced the faulty capacitor. After the repair, I tested the compressor and blower motor to ensure they were functioning properly. The system is now cooling efficiently, with a steady 22-degree temperature drop across the evaporator coil. The homeowner was pleased with the results and the system is now back to full operation.

I responded to a call for HVAC repair when the system wasn’t heating properly. After inspecting the unit, I found that the heat exchanger was dirty and the flame sensor was corroded. I cleaned both components and checked the blower motor and burner assembly for proper operation. Additionally, I recalibrated the thermostat and tested the system’s airflow to ensure even heat distribution throughout the home. I also inspected the ductwork for any leaks or blockages. After the repair and testing, the furnace is now running efficiently, and the homeowner is satisfied with the restored performance of their heating system.

I performed a complete furnace maintenance for a homeowner preparing for the winter season. I started by inspecting the heat exchanger for cracks and cleaning the burner assembly to ensure optimal combustion. I tested the flame sensor and ignition system for proper operation and checked the blower motor for any signs of wear. Additionally, I replaced the air filter and recalibrated the thermostat to ensure accurate temperature control. After testing the system and verifying proper airflow, the furnace was running smoothly and efficiently. The homeowner can now rely on their heating system to perform well throughout the colder months.

Checked charge at system and had a super heat of 89 degrees, today called for about 18 degrees. Added 3 Pounds of refrigerant to achieve the required SH of today. Operations otherwise normal. Condenser fan motor struggling to run. Replaced fan motor with capacitor. Fired system up to check amps, all good. Operations normal at this time.

Checked charge on system and found charge to be very low. Did not charge system up as suction pressures were in the negative, having pulled in noncondensables. Gathered information for new install.

Responded to a no AC call and discovered the system was not functioning. Upon inspection, I identified a failed capacitor and low refrigerant levels as the primary issues. I replaced the faulty capacitor and recharged the refrigerant to the required levels. After completing the repairs, I performed a comprehensive test to ensure the system was cooling efficiently and operating correctly. The AC unit is now fully operational, providing consistent and effective cooling throughout the home, ensuring the homeowner's comfort.

Addressing a no-start issue on an existing HVAC unit, I began by inspecting the electrical disconnect for any visible signs of damage or failure. Using a multimeter, I confirmed the incoming voltage supply was within acceptable parameters. However, the disconnect's fuse cartridges had failed open due to an overcurrent condition. To restore operation, I replaced the cartridges with new 40-amp Fusetrons properly rated for this equipment's maximum overcurrent protection device requirements per NEC code. After verifying all electrical terminations were secure, I successfully energized the unit and closely monitored operating amperages to validate the system was functioning normally without any lingering fault conditions.
